Young DGKK

The „jDGKK“ is a initiative of young DGKK members to encourage and promote the networking among young scientists and engineers in crystal growth.

Therefore, the young DGKK supports acquaintances and closer contacts, both among young peers and to experts working in industry and academia, through various activities.

A further objective is, to get in touch or become more familiar with the DGKK and arouse interest among non-members.

objectives/activities:

• Promotion of mutual networking and communication among young crystal growers
• Organisation of a annual meeting in advance of the german crystal growth conference (DKT) for joint activities, e.g. industry excursions and seminars
• Lectures by various prestigious speakers
• Practicing how to present, defend and discuss scientific work in a relaxed and informal environment
• Creation of a internet-plattform, to promote scientific exchange and communication among young DGKK members
• Participating in activities by the DGKK (conferences, working groups)
• Networking with young peers of other scientific societies (e.g. the young crystallographers „yDGK“)
